The questions worth asking

Can they select the device against the circuit, or only quote the part number you give them?

Do they hold accessories and replacement devices, or only the fast-moving items?

Can they provide the manufacturer documentation for what they supply?

Do they have someone who can attend site when a device behaves unexpectedly?

Will they still be able to supply the same series in three years?

Why selection support matters

Most protection problems are selection problems, not product problems. A device that trips the whole building instead of the faulty circuit was usually chosen by rating alone.
